Moss Stitch  

A Moss Stitch consist of only 2 crochet stitches: chain stitch (ch) and single crochet (sc).  

The foundation chain should be an odd number of stitches.

Row 1:              sc in 3^rd ch from hook, * 1ch, skip next ch, 1sc in next ch*. Repeat from * to * across. 2ch (counts as turning chain and first 1ch). Turn. 

Row 2:              Skip first sc, *1sc in ch-1 space, 1ch, skip next sc*. Repeat from * to * across. End row with sc in 2ch of previous row; 2ch; turn.
