Crochet Stitches

Take up a challenge - start crocheting some of the advanced crochet stitches

There are basic crochet stitches that are used just about in every crochet pattern. Therefore, if you are a beginner in the art of crocheting it is essential that you practice how to do these basic crochet stitches.

After you know the basic stitches by heart, it's a real challenge to try out new crochet stitches you have never done before. It's just lovely to sit down with a little left over wool and give these new crochet stitches, most of which derive from the basic crochet stitches, a go. Once you have mastered the pattern in a sample piece you can integrate these crochet stitches in any piece of work these stitches are suitable for. This can be a shawl, a throw over, a baby blanket, a pillow, etc.

Some of the stitches are more advanced than others. Just follow the step by step instructions and start with a sample crochet piece.
